Apparently FFXIV really does have a release date, at least the special edition for PC. Though there is some disagreement between gamespot and amazon as to whether it's Sept. 30th or Sept 22nd, the special edition for PC will provide players the ability to play the game 6 days earlier than other versions. Whether this means that the regular PC edition, and/or the PS3 edition will be coming out only 6 days after the special edition for PC remains to be seen.
