![]() ![]() | Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o (Promise on this Blue Sky): Melody of the Sun and Sea on PS2Today sees a day early release of a love-adventure game, Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o (Promise on this Blue Sky): Melody of the Sun and Sea on PS2. The story apparently takes place on an isolated island whose factory, which made up a large portion of the island's industry, decided to withdraw its operations. Hoshino Wataru attends a school whose number of students is decreasing leaving only himself and a few girls living there. The limited edition comes with a high quality figure that includes two configurations, a bathing suit and a maid outfit pictured below. It also comes with a maxi-single, and two cute SD figurines. Also, the release of Sumomomomomomo tomorrow seems to have been indefinitely postponed. |

![]() | Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 on PSPToday sees the release of the Asian version of the Bleach handheld fighting game, Bleach: Heat the Soul 4. Here is what Play-Asia has to say about it: "Sony's popular anime fighting game Bleach Heat the Soul turns into the fourth round. As you probably expect from another update are once again an increased character selection. 20 new characters are entering the competition, which makes Bleach: Heat the Soul 4 the biggest game in the series ever with more than 70 characters in total. Further features include a Mission Battle Mode and a new "Soul Blaise" system. This is also the first game to feature playable or partner vizards, if one does not count Ichigo." The Japan version will also be available in two days on Thursday the 24th of May. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Binchou-Tan: Happiness Almanac & Ichigo Mashimaro on PS2Another set that sliped past the radar. Released at the end of April, Binchou-tan: Happiness Almanac, a game in the indeterminate genre of "miniature garden" games. Apparently Binchou-tan's life advances in real-time. In 4 days time, one season passes, when the 4 seasons of spring, summer, fall and winter pass, it makes one year. (One day game time = about 10-15 min). There is a limited edition that comes with an original box with artwork by Ekusa Takahito, a special version binchou-tan bath figure, and a desktop accessory and drama on one cd with a deluxe trading card. Something is also mentioned about a 4 coma-coaster set with artwork by Ekusa Takahito, but I'm not sure if it's part of the limited edition or not. Also available is a game based on Ichigo Mashimaro. It sounds like it's basically a dating-sim. The game occurs during your one month summer vacation. You can decide where to go and what your schedual will be. You can decide where to go two times, in the afternoon and evening. You can call girls and arrange a date. You have an inventory of items and can go shopping to collect as many items as you can. Enter things like dates with girls into your schedual and try to fill your schedual as much as possible. Also newsworthy, in order to avoid missing games like this I've started a new section called, Upcoming Releases. This will be a place for games that are coming out soon, and will typically hold the next set of games that will be featured in the main news. This section should provide visitors a good opportunity to check out upcoming games while they are still available for pre-order and can still take advantage of pre-ordering limited editions that are normally sold out at the time of release. |

This site was started as a fan site for anime based games on the Playstation. I was frustrated with the lack of English language resources for Playstation games that included solid publication information, screenshots, box art, and descriptions and covered games based on anime series. I began by cataloging release information from Sony's official Playstation page, translating game descriptions from Japanese to English, scanning my own box art and capturing screenshots. I got permission from Anime News Network, AnimeNfo, and GameFAQs, to link to various pertinent information on their sites. I launched the site on January 1st of 2005 but much of the work was done during 2004.
This site is constantly growing with new content, news, and resources. I intend to continue to expand the site to include better features, and more information about anime based games on the various Playstation platforms and maybe even others such as Sega's and NEC's. There are still some entries for Playstation/PSX that are incomplete including missing box art or screen shots. There are also still games missing from the listing. Games from the following series I intend to add or am researching as possible additions are:
Please feel free to contact me with submissions including box art, screen shots, and games missing from the list. If you are suggesting a game for addition please check the list thoroughly to make sure it's not already included. I've presented games by their translated names so it's sometimes easy to overlook a game that is already there. I'd also recommend including the SLPM/SLPS number, and a link to a listing of the anime that is featured in the game on either Anime News Network or AnimeNfo. Also I'm not currently including games from Dragon Ball, Zoids, Gundam, or Sanrio. There are a number of games based on these series and I frankly don't have any interesting listing them all when there are so many more interesting and less documented games still missing from the list. I'm currently only adding PSX/PS1 era Playstation games though I intend to expand to PS2 and PSP shortly.
Special thanks to: Eien ni Hen for providing translation assistance on many of the game descriptions. Luis Cruz and BT for early assistance with the site. John Smith for contributing a large list of games to be added to the site (I'm still planning to add them, really!). GameFAQs, Anime News Network, and AnimeNfo for giving permission to link to their sites, and for being generally great resources. Sony for making Playstation gaming systems and keeping a high quality and informative official site. And the game developers, anime studios, and manga authors that make it all possible.
